Credits & acknowledgements

This first edition of the Road Asset Management Manual is the outcome of a project undertaken by the Word Road Association (PIARC) in the 2012 under the editorial responsibility of Technical Committee “Asset Management” chaired by Thomas Linder, Director of Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Building and Transport.

The development of the conceptual framework of the Manual and drafting of the chapters was performed, during the cycle 2012-15, by the W.G. 1 of TC 4.1, under the responsibility of the Stephen Gaj (USA), Leader of Asset Management Team of Federal Highway Administration.

The final version of the manual and the web development have been carried out by the WG 1of TC D.1 during the first biennium of cycle 2016/19.
